- plant a flag at the South Pole
- start a weekly pinochle tournament out of my home
put a penny on the railroad tracks- work in a bar in some exotic corner of the world
- sail on a tall ship
- try some form of martial arts or hand-to-hand
- see Dr. Zhivago
break a bone- obtain a decent working knowledge of physics (or something else I know nothing about)
- run with the bulls in Spain while reciting the Gettysburg address
- get paid to fly (in Alaska or Arizona or the Philippines)
ride in a submarine- get in shape (at least once)
- safari in East Africa
- learn at least two foreign languages (I know Spanish pretty well, and have a decent grasp of basic Korean)
eat a scorpion- sample the booze of every country I visit
- take up the piano, the violin, and the concertina again
- learn how to dance
- stargaze on every continent
- read War and Peace by Tolstoy, Ulysses by Joyce, and
Moby-Dick by Melville - try the rotted shark in Iceland
- observe both the aurora borealis and the aurora australis
- go on a space flight (might have to wait on this one)
visit Disneyland(finally!)- drink the world's best glass of beer
- get a short story published (and get paid for it)
