Austria.
Looks nice.
Great mountains.
Scenic towns.
Charming villages.
Friendly people.
Clean mountain air.
Orchestral music to die for.
Steeped in history.
Good beer.
Sausage.
The Alps.
Birthplace of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Pretty little country. Especially Innsbruck. You should go and see it.
If you can get a tourist visa without committing an act of terrorism, that is.

Beautiful! I love the mountains. :)
I've been to Germany and Holland, but never Austria. I've plans to go to Poland and Hungary soon (within the year). I'm a bit jealous of all the traveling you get to do.
Act of terrorism? For a tourist visa? Somehow I don't think those two things would go together well... Tehe.
Every picture I've ever saw of Austria has been beautiful. I'm hoping when I finally manage to make it to Germany I'll be able to hop over the border and check it out. ;) (Nearly ever European country is on my to-see list...)
The hills are alive...
I went to school in Schladming a couple of years ago. I love Austria, once you get past the kitsch (or maybe I love it for the kitsch?). Whatever the matter, it is genuinely full of dark, intriguing history once you delve beneath the surface...and amazing food and beer too.
People easily take pity on you there.
Lydia: Thanks for stopping by! I do like topography myself.
Christi: YOU'RE jealous of ME? Don't get me wrong: I've never been to Austria. These are all places I'd LIKE to go. I've only ever been to South Korea and Canada. Where-all have you been?
Carrie: I hear it's problematic to get an EU tourist visa. But you're right, I haven't seen an ugly bit of Austria yet.
Polly: I actually had a Julie Andrews reference in this post originally, but I cut it out.
Jane: WOW! You went to SCHOOL there? AND you've been to school in AUSTRALIA?! That's so neat! I love kitsch. I bet I'd love the place. If they have kitsch and beer, I'm all for it. They also have tanks. German tanks. Good stuff. Why do you say people "Take pity on you easily"? They help you out willingly?
